Transparent Background - sometimes

I've upgraded my Directivo from a 40gb to a 120gb. The only problem I have is that the background image at the "Directv Central" and "Now Playing List" and so on show up as transparent with live tv in the background but only sometimes. In other words, if I navigate around in the menus to something like the Season Pass Manager or something, then the background shows up. If I go back to the Directv Central then background *is* there.

I've searched for similar problems in the forums and have noticed that other people have reported that they get a transparent background and that it indicates a problem with the mfsbackup. While this is plausible it doesn't explain why the background does show up. In other words, of the people that have reported it before, none of them report ever getting the background. It seems to me that the backgrounds are there but that I need make a symlink or copy the background image to the place that the tivo is looking for it.

Anyone have any ideas? I'd really like to avoid pulling the drive and running through the entire process again if I can, since it seems like the files are there.

As you say, I had this problem long ago, but it was related to an incorrectly backed up image. In my case it never showed a background intermittently as you say, but I would bet the source problem is still the same: a poor backup image.

Since the SP manager and DirecTV Central use different loopsets, I fail to see why it's such a big mystery. Obviously, one is corrupted and one is not.

Tweak the ServerVersion and reload them from slices, OR get a good image.
