And attach it here?
For some reason I don't have gcc installed on my tivo and I'm not really sure how to install it...
so could somebody compile it or if you already have it on your tivo could you zip it up and attach it??
I'd really really appreciate it!

Did you read the mplayer readme? I suggest you read up before continuing.

(link found with a minimum of searching)

I know I sound like a newbie... but I've been reading the readme multiple times...
when i try to "./configure" I get an error... when I read the configure.log, guess what it says!
"no gcc found"
I'm not fond of installing gcc

I know I sound like a newbie...
There's a reason for that...
Why not just install the pre-compiled binaries?

Well,
there doesn't seem to be one for Linux.
to the OP, you aren't trying to compile tivo-mplayer on the TIVO are you?
It's a client side application. It will run on your PC.

alright... well I am an ***** then...
I just figured since they were talking about vserver on the tivo that mplayer was supposed to be installed on the tivo as well... :(
I'll eventually get the hang of it...
sorry for the waste of space..
