I'm setting up a Linux system and I'm looking at either Debian (Knoppix) or Mandrake.

What do I need to configure so that the system will read a Tivo Disk?

I'm going to be playing with a spare disk with a 4.0.1b image and I'll be updating 3 DirecTV TiVo boxes, and I would like the system to recognize the disks at bootup instead of needing to rescan the drive every time.

I have not "USED" linux in about 4 years so I'm WAY rusty.

Thanks,
gNOME...

What do I need to configure so that the system will read a Tivo Disk? The easy way is to run "tivopart r" (http://www.dealdatabase.com/forum/showthread.php?t=25219). The harder way is to go find the kernel patch for recognizing tivo partition tables, apply it to your kernel source tree, and build your kernel from source. link (http://www.dealdatabase.com/forum/showthread.php?p=212105#post212105).
