Sorry for the newbie approach. But would any of you know why my USB ethernet adapter won't work anymore on my hacked Tivo? It worked for a good 4-6 months. I tried pinging 192.168.1.99 and there's no response. No activity lights on the USB200M either. I'm certain that the OS hasn't been updated because I never have my phone line plugged in.

Any ideas what could be going on? I bought another adapter and the same thing happened. No activity lights or ability to access the Tivo through my network. This is really frustrating. Any help would be appreciated. I can provide more details if you need it.

Thanks,
hyp.

In addition to having the phone line not plugged in do you have upgradesoftware=false in your bootpage parameters or set in rc.sysinit? Do you have serial access? Can you post a bootlog?

EDIT: Also, did you try the USB200M in a PC to see if it was functional? I seem to remember they have a pretty fragile connecting point.
