Bash shell on Directivo

Is there way to utilize the round serial port on the back on Directivo? My Philiips DSR6000 has this mini phone jack like port labled serial. Is it possible to get it setup up for bash? Thanks.

here's the answer to your question..and the answer to the questions you will have after realizing a bash prompt...

Make a back up of your (virgin) disk be fore you start. Seach the forum on more info. (really ..do this..this is step 1...no kidding)
