I have three units and get varying results with trying to just get logged on to the boxes. I know that the port is 3105, but it just sits there and times out and then I try later and it works. mfs_ftp is working on my units and it is version 1.9p. I have looked in the port.3105.log file and here are the messages that are in it.

bash-2.02# cat port.3105.log
09:27:03:PM - sourcing settings
03:27:03:PM - updating cached recording info
....

....

catch close lastsock val "can't read "info(lastsock)": no such element in array"

Any ideas are appreciated.

Have you tried increasing your time-out time? I had to raise my Smartftp time to 90 seconds.

It may need more time if you have a lot of recordings or it is recording.

That was it. I guess I was used to the ftp flying along. Didn't realize that mfs_ftp took so long to fire up.

Thanks for the help
