Hi Folks,
Great stuff here. I've been lurking for awhile, as I've been in the DirecTV 'market' for awhile with an old RCA receiver and an HU card that was given to me by a friend. I've scoured the site (and others) for info on the following, but as most folks here are programming, I'm assuming it just hasn't been addressed. I recently purchased a Sony T60 on Ebay with no contract requirement, but (I know this is crazy) I want to pay for SOME service, especially the Tivo. I'd like to call in and activate the T60 with its virgin card and establish the most inexpensive plan with Dave and Tivo. Then, move the virgin card to my old RCA (phone line active) and put the 'old' card in the T60 (no phone line). Will this work? Will Tivo be able to grab the info for 'ALL' my stations, or will Dave wonder why I'm using a different receiver (will they even know)? Thanks in advance, and if this is addressed somewhere that I haven't been able to find, I apologize -- just shoot me in the right direction.
