My SAT T60 recently decided to stop working (unable to download from the satellite) so I purchased the same model thinking I could just swap the drives into the new model without any problems. When I boot the new T60 with my old drives, it just hangs at the Welcome... powering up screen.

The drives do work, as I was able to watch shows I had previously recorded, and in the old tivo, they do boot up fine, it just refuses to download from the satellite for some unknown reason. I saw the post that talks about resetting everything in order to change the key, but I can't even get past the Welcome screen, so this is not yet an issue for me. I have swapped the ide cables and tried just about everything else I can think of. I am willing to totally reset the drives and reinstall the software, but I can't even find anything to download. Any suggestions or help would be greatly apprciated.

If you have hacks on these drives, the bootprom on the new unit needs to be flashed (killinitrd) [not killhdinitrd]. 25xtreme used to do this for you, and there was a standalone flash script somewhere around here. Its been so long .....

I think I am using 25xtreme, so is this still something I should look into? Thanks.
