Recently my DirectTiVo with 4.0 has been doing something very odd.

Check out the attachments. Any ideas?

well, we need more info. did you find anything odd in the logs? are you running tivoweb? do you have anything installed which can write text to the screen? does your tivo have access to the internet?

I have tivoweb on the machine, but it's not running. The tivo was exposed to the internet for one day when my firewall was accidentally turned off. I will attach the logs.

I seriously doubt you need a new TV. Just turn off closed captioning. You have it set to show the TEXT2 channel of the closed caption, which often contains web links.

Yep, turns out I enabled CC at some point. Not sure when... my tv a while ago had a fit where it randomly displayed menus and stuff so it's probably related.
