DSR6000 2.0.1 Tivo Functionality

Ok, say i have new DSR6000, i'm gonna mod it with fixup script via serial bash prompt.
From my understanding, once i perform above mod, it will never call home, and i'll have FULL tivo functionality? I really dont care about showcases or tivolution stuff. all i want is guide data so i can have my season passes working, etc. Please tell me if i'm missing something here........
also, i've been looking for stepbystep guide to perform fixup mod, so far unable to find it. please point me in the right direction.

There is not a faq that explains step by step what you need to do. The consensus seems to be that new people should be forced to read through all the (at times contradictory) posts to find the information they need. Something about making it difficult to do keeps it low on the radar screen. I don't agree with it but I'm also not interested in signing up to creating and maintaining such a document (esp if others specifically don't want it to exist)

Your understanding is correct with the caveat is that you will not have dual-tuner functionality (which comes with sw update ver 2.5) because that software has not been successfully hacked yet.
