2 phone calls/block dave call?

I had a friend get a phillips directivo, and he said that the directivo makes 2 phone calls. Could one allow their directivo to dial tivo, and not dial dave?
could one put a tivonet in, and block the dave stuff with a firewall?

A telephone firewall? Do you have link to such a device?

actually, I was referring to a normal firewall on the lan, for use with a tivonet.
I do know of devices that will emulate an isp, so that you could place it between the tivo, and your phone line.
