I can't get past the Welcome.. Powering Up no matter what I do..

I figure I am doing something wrong but I have no idea what.. I am using this guide:

I have dl the instantcake image they suggest (TCD240080). I have used 3 different drives including 1 just out of the box. All were greater than 120 gigs. I have tried to get this to work on a hughes dvr40 and an HDVR2. the DVR40 tests fine with the original drive. (I no longer have the original drive for the other).

Can someone please make a suggestion or perhaps recommend another guide? I have been working on this for a few days now and I have hit a wall.

1. Read RC3105's 4.x on RID thread in this section.

2. Read the Delnave support thread in the Newbie section. Confine your questions to that thread.

3. Make up a serial cable and attach the serial console output to your next post. (Directions are in the HowTos only in the Series 1 support forum).

4. Put on your Nomex underware, posting a support question for a newbie guide in the Series 2 support forum is sure to generate some heat.
