I have 4 objects in MFS I want to delete. They are old recordings that were messed up during a mfs_ftp upload (hung).
I have the object numbers:
mfs/Recording/DiskUsed/10/ (all 4 are here)
mfs/Recording/Active/ (only 2 are here - these show up in undelete)
How do I delete them so they don't show up in tivoweb on undelete and I recover the space?
Thanks again!

The space is available once you've deleted them via your mfs_ftp client. Beyond that, change the names if there is embarassment. Turn on suggestion recording and let the empty space fill up (that will not impede your use of that space for new recordings).

Do some investigation before you go messing with mfs items, but I had a similar problem.
RubbishObjectByFsId, run from tivosh let me delete orphan programs which never seemed to go away on their own.tivosh
% RubbishObjectByFsId xxxxxxxwith the x's being the actual fsid # got rid of them for me.
Type the word exit when you are done with tivosh to return to your normal bash prompt.

First try to just reboot your tivo.

hayreass,
Hey thanks a million!! That worked perfectly. It killed them off to the twilight zone and my free space went up as it removed them from the deleted shows in tivoweb / info!!
The program IDs are now no where in MFS, like they never existed! :)
Yippee!
Cheers,
David

How do you delete a batch of orphaned files?

I need to write some filler but just try this (http://www.dealdatabase.com/forum/showthread.php?t=51486).
