This maybe a newb question, so I appologize in advance.

Okay, so my upstairs DirecTivo got the 6.2 update about 2 weeks ago. However, my downstairs Tivo was still stuck on 3.1.1e. After reading all the HMO/MRV threads on 6.2, I got impatient and did a backup of the upstairs 6.2 system, and restored the image on the downstairs system. After booting up into 6.2, I got the error #51, which after reading a bit more I found that I needed a "clear and delete everything."

After that, all worked well, but my Atlanta locals are gone. It has been 12 hours now and they still haven't come back. What did I do wrong?

thanks.

WTF, over?

If you 'knew' "in advance" that your question 'may be' (notice the space) a 'newbie' question...

...then WHY did you ask it in the 'Support' forum, THEN apologize 'in advance'?

Jesus people, pay attention to what and where you post so the moderators can keep this forum as efficient as possible.

PS. I love this forum, that's why I care about thoughtless posts and post locations.

They will come back after a day or two. You should still ahve access to them in the 300s. (383+ or something like that)

Thanks Thinkdiff, I'll look for them to show up soon. JJBliss, I appreciate you moving this to the proper location.

NutKase, in a quarter of the time that it took to write that flame you could've just said that the locals will show up soon and moved the thread. Or did that make you feel better about yourself?

I believe a call to 1-800-directv ext. 721 will also work.

I just had DirecTV installed about a week ago. To my surprise, they brought two DSR708s. Spent some time Saturday with 4.0 and did not have locals at first. The call seemed to trigger the locals.

Actually extension 722 works better, as you dont have to talk to a live person, it does a box hit automatically while you listen to some cheesy music.

Anything to avoid talking to the Lemming minions that they have in Dubai answering the phones.
