I was wondering.. I currently have Directv with Tivo and Time Warner in our area is starting with the MRV option if you have a PVR 8300. You can connect 3 other non-PVRs to it, via special cable splitter. It will transfer the shows using the set tops as kind of a gateway, to view programs off the 8300. It doesn't save to the remote box, because it has no hard drive. My question is, would it be possible, if you have a decent home network setup to not have the show you are watching on a remote tivo, be transferred from the host dvr. After you watch a show on a remote tivo, you now have two copies of that show. Better yet, have a prompt that would ask if you want to transfer it, or watch it straight from the network tivo.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Greg

The MRV superpatch allows you to do exactly what you indicated. When you select a show for viewing that's on a different Tivo from the one you're currently viewing, the show gets transferred from the host Tivo to the remote Tivo and stays resident on the remote Tivo until it's deleted.
