I just pick up a use Hughes HDVR2 run S/W Version 3.1.1e-01-2-151. I have 2 Hughes S1 Tivo's hacked and running well. But I have never done a S2 unit before. I have been reading and it doesn't look like sleeper is the way to go. What is the best way to hack this unit. What software, what threads should I look at. I will not have it on a network or connect to a phone line. Also I did not receive any users guide or a remote with this unit, what is the USB port for. Is there anywhere I can download a user guide. Or call direct and buy one from them and a remote.
Thanks

Remotes are cheap on ebay.
Look HERE (http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/learn/Manuals.dsp) for the manual.
Start with the stickies for hacking, and read THIS. (http://www.dealdatabase.com/forum/showthread.php?t=42325)
Hacking a S2 is just as easy nowadays as hacking an S1.
Edit:
Damn, 2 replies in the time it took me to type, and look up a link.
