After a sucessful 6.2 slice upgrade from 3.11 and superpatch67all. (Series 2 RID) Everything works perfectly except that pre-upgrade recordings cannot be played although it does look as if the revised tytools server seems to be able to download them.

That sounds possible. Were you just making an announcement, or did you have a question?

Did you have scrambling disabled under 3.11? I just did the same thing and my old recordings play fine (though they were unscrambled, it must be said).

if your shows were scrambled before and the nosco patch was
installed with the superpatch stuff....

Hi PB, Guess it was a statement, and a question but mostly a request for help. I did have recordings descrambled but using kmem which I now have commented out in the author file.

Use ciphercheck.tcl to verify that your shows are not encrypted but have CSO set, as I suspect they do if you had a kmem noscramble patch when they were recorded. Use csoscout.tcl to clear the CSO keys to make the shows playable.

That did it.
