Hi,
The title of this thread looks weird but I think it will be helpful for people searching this forum.
I just compiled bzip2 and bzip2recover using the Cygwin and the cross-compiler from:

bzip2 works great but I haven't tried bzip2recover as I do not have any damaged files...
When transferring to your Tivo, make sure to use Binary mode. Again, these are only for Series 1 Tivo's.

bzip2recover
