Hi,
I just looking for a few suggestions.......
I had a t60 before and I put the 25xtreme image on it.
That one burned out the motherboard, i think..... I guess i can use it for parts now!!
I just bought another sat-t60 which I'm going to subscribe with dtv.
Its been about 4yrs since I hacked a tivo.
I want to remove the drives and go with a single drive (120 or bigger).
I have a turbonet card.
I've been doing lots of reading in the forums I have some idea but some suggestions would be appreciated
I was just wondering.......

1) Should i hack it before i subscribe the unit??

2) What is the best image to apply??
I know about the following images....
instantcake sat-t60 3.1.0c-02. Image
25xtreme image
or I think there is other 3.1 Images out there??
what about adding ptvlba48-3.0 _with_tivo_killhdinitrd_kernels??

3) Should I also add Tivoweb or something similar??

4) Any other mods to the tivo software besides the turbonet drivers?

5) Any Suggestible hardware mods??

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated,
Thanks
M

1) Doesn't matter. Test it to make sure it functions before you sub it.
2) 2.5Xtreme is the easiest image to hack. Install Superzap's xupgrade.iso to add more hacks and upgrade to either 2.5.2 or 3.1 (required if you want locals). Killhdinitrd only applies to S2 RID DTivos.
3) Entirely up to you. It depends on what you want to do with your DTivo.
4) Xupgrade.iso includes the xPlusz suite of hacks. I'd add TyTools if you want to do any video extraction.
5) Not really necessary except perhaps for adding a rear panel RJ-45 jack for easier ethernet connection.
