After following the weethet.nl upgrade instructions (Incl purchasing instantcake and the LBA48 boot cd just to make things as clean as possible) I have a working Series 2 DirectTV Tivo box (Samsung) with a working network connection. This is the good news. The bad news is it only sees the video and audio on Channel 100. On all other channels, I get the audio feed and I get the info/menu feeds, but no live (or recorded) video.
Obviously, I've missed something somewhere. I've been searching around here and on PTVupgrade for the past few days with no joy.
Has anyone out there seen this behavior? Any idea where I should go from here?

Any idea where I should go from here?Yes, to the weethet support thread.

Start over.

A few things I forgot to mention. 1) I've been searched around on the weethet forum. no joy. 2) I've gone through their procedure twice with the same result. and 3) I didn't see any useful information in the log files.
So, should I be headed in a different direction? The goal is to upgrade the existing machine to obtain network access. I'm not married to the weethet method.

First of all, you're making a fundamental error - you're following a guide without understanding what you are trying to do. The particular problem you describe has been reported many times, always by someone who didn't know if he had a RID or non-RID system.
More important, 4.x on an HDVR2 is obsolete - outdated, dead as a dodo, kaput, a waste of time! It's time to bite the bullet, read about 6.2 here (http://www.dealdatabase.com/forum/showthread.php?t=42325) and here. (http://www.dealdatabase.com/forum/showthread.php?t=41347)

But you used ´it´ which is only a regurgitation of info posted on DDB. You should ask for help there-weethet.nl.
Kidding... BUT, You really should blow it off and read/learn here for the ´right´ direction.
Dang foreign language computer keyboards :) (I´m traveling right now!)

Mea Culpa Mea Culpa Mea Maxima Culpa! I agree I did jump in a little too quickly. I'll read the threads suggested and try the new route. Thanks for the pointers.
