I have been looking on the site for a few hours now and have not found any answer so I am hoping someone here can help me...

I have a s2 Dtivo.

About 1 year ago I upgraded the drives with sleepers hacks. The only other thing I added was tytools tserver.

I have been downloading shows to my laptop for the last year. A few weeks back I tried to upgrade the usb drivers (i never got it to work) I am very sure I rebooted after that and i was still able to telnet to the machine. (only reason I am adding this is because I may have messed something up and not remembered and I know how much IT guys hate when they dont get all the info)

Tonight when I connected my laptop I was not able to ping or telnet to the tivo. I have already tried new cables and a new switch. Those had no effect still cant ping or telnet. Also reboot both the laptop and the tivo (same results).

Then I pulled the drives and copied old modules files back over anythign I messed with.

At this point the drives are back in the tivo and I still cant telnet. any help people could give would be great. (please note that my linux skills are limited so any steps please use detail if possible).

Thanks
ED
