i'm new on this .i have a direct tv(tivo) dsr704 and i want to now if i can put my dsr704 only to play my music that i have on cds if so, how can i do it? :)

The current method of playing music files via a DTivo is by hacking the DTivo to enable the HMO feature and networking capability. This allows you to network your DTivo with your PC. Your PC then acts as a server using the Tivo Desktop software that can stream MP3 music files to your DTivo over the network and play them on your home theater audio system. Look for the threads that discuss hacking OS version 6.2 and installing superpatch67. If you haven't hacked a Tivo before then prepare to do a lot of reading to learn how to go about it.
