I've somehow lost Music and Photos from the Tivo main menu. System information shows all 3 home media options as inactive.

Software 4.01b, hacked with the usuals.

Even with all the hacks I was still using JavaHMO up until about a month or so ago. Went to use it today, and the option in Tivo is gone.

My account page on the Tivo site doesn't show anything abnormal.

Network connectivity seems unaffected. I am able to force connects, etc.

Ideas? Could this be a side effect of not taking upgrades for so long?

Thanks

By what method do you prevent your TiVo from contacting the Mothership?

That doesn't prevent the TiVo from contacting the mothership during a daily call.

My bad, I mis-read your first post.

My unit is contacting the mothership, its just not installing the update. With that I just figured out why my tivo reboots at 2:00 am daily. :/

Ah..

Anyway, I removed the softwareupgrade line from my bootpage and let the upgrade happen..

Time to hack again I guess.. :)

Oh, and HMO options are back..

Please tell us what your system is.

(I did assume 4.01b was installed on a DTiVo.)

If you have a SA Series 2, you've probably run out of time on upgrading and that's why HMO stopped working.

EDIT: See this post if you have a SA Series 2 (especially #2). (http://www.dealdatabase.com/forum/showpost.php?p=211510&postcount=1)
