I'm having a problem with my Directivo not seeing my other tivos on my network, and the other tivos can not see it. What I did was copy, using dd from an already hacked 6.2 with everyhting enabled, and installed the copied drive in a new tivo. I did a clear & delete everything on the new tivo. I re-ran the superpatch67.tcl and setmrvname67.tcl to correct the name. I also edited the network settings in my rc.sysinit.author file, so they wouldn't have the same ip address. Did I miss anything else? In the phone settings, I input ,#401 like on my other tivos to try to dial out on the network. What I do is a test call first, then block that ip address from getting outside through the router after the test call is successful. That way, it tries to call out through the network, rather then through the phone. I have the phone plugged in because of my caller-id I have hacked on it. (I got the daily call to look for the network by changing the debugboard from false to true. I had to upgrade from 4.0 to 6.2. That was the only way I could get it to work right.) Anyways, that doesn't work either. I have HMO enabled, and can play songs on the tivo, and I can telnet into it, so I know it's not totally network disabled somehow. Anyone have any ideas as to what it could be. My only guess is that when I did upgrade from 4.0 to 6.2 on the other tivo, those network settings stayed in there, somewhere else. If all else fails, I can always install 4.0, and work my way back up. Just thought I would save time.
Thanks much!
