Since adding a second drive to my DTiVo it has been randomly locking up. Currently the drive is mounted in a custom aluminum bracket that I made. I am about to purchase the WeaKness bracket with additional fans. If this does not work then I am going to purchase a new, bigger, hard drive to replace the two smaller drives.

I am currently using a 120gig primary and 160gig secondary drive with the 6.2 software version, (modded). What would be the optimal way of moving to a 300gig drive with the goal of retaining all my recordings? Is there some way I can simply backup my drives to the single drive? I've read somewhere that the LINUX and/or TiVo software has a size limitation that may prevent a straight backup to a 300 gig drive. Any comments/hints/pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Hindsdale's has a section on backing up two sources drives to one destination drive.

If the 120 Gig drive was the original drive, it may be possible (see above ref to Hinsdale). If you expanded a 40 Gig or 80 gig to the 120, this (http://alt.org/forum/index.php?t=msg&goto=769&rid=0&S=7685e15b700295296be568c78ad27ee8#msg_769) post by Jamie might be a start.
