View Full Version : DirecTivo saying drive is full but only 2 shows recorded

I upgraded the unit with a 120 gb hard-drive MFS Tools backup and deleted every listing for the previously recorded shows (didn't copy them over). The system info. is saying the storage capacity is variable, 102 hours. However, I've only recorded 6 hrs worth of content and the unit is saying that there isn't enough disk space to record my upcoming listings.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I'll bet you have lots of season passes set up with the "Save until I delete" option and "Record all instances" (or something similar). The Tivo takes into account all future recordings when determining how much space is available for additional recordings. Check your To Do list and I'll wager it's probably quite extensive. Change your recording options to delete to make room for more recordings unless there's something you absolutely can't live without.

Thanks. I'll make some adjustments to that and see if it doesn't clear the problem up. I know I set a season pass for the Tour de France. OLN re-airs it about 4 times per day. But I couldn't get it to accurately grab each day on the First Run Only so I had set it up to all instances. I was then going in to the To Do List and removing the extra ones for each day. But with all of those and the other season passes I bet it is the problem.
