Those people at ORB (www.orb.com) have kept true to thier promise and released "TiVo Anywhere" http://www.tivoanywhere.com./download.html , and add on to ORB which lets you stream your Tivo content ooover your internet connection to nearly any internet connected device! It looks like this product uses Tivo 2 Go to access series 2 Tivos, anyone figure out a way to get it to work with networked series 1 boxes?

Sounds a lot like TyStreamer (http://wiskars.com/tystreamer). Check out the latest 2.0 beta in this thread (http://dealdatabase.com/forum/showthread.php?t=43317). The VLC backend seems to work very well, although there are still a couple of issues with using WMP as the front-end player. It works with TiVo Series 1 or 2, and I believe also with DTivo's with encryption turned off. It does not let you program your TiVo remotely, but I suppose you could do that with any web-enabled device and TivoWeb(Plus).

Yes, Tivo Anywhere does have some of the same features of TyStreamer, and yes, i have failed misarable to ever to tyStreamer to work, but ORB allows much more that tystreamer, it allows access to all Video, audio and pictures on you PC as well as access to the Tivo content and it is viewable from not only other PCs, but PDAs and Cell Phones (fast 3G connection reccomended) as well.
I think, if someone (I'd do it, but I haven't programed in 15 years and don't really have the 'mad skillz' needed) were to use the orb API http://www.orb.com/download/api/download/
and create an ORB add on that ties into Vserver http://armory.nicewarrior.org/projects/vstream-client/
Then orb would have access to the video on series 1 Tivos as well...

Any takers?

I would love to see a similar module to work with hacked S2 DirecTivo's as well.

Right now I use TivoAnywhere with my unhacked nightlight tivo and it works great.

Little correction to your webpage - vserver was written by andrew tridgell, not cwingert.
