FTP directly from one Tivo to another Tivo

I have two hacked DirecTivos one SD the other HD. I sometimes find myself in the position of transferring files from one to the other. I am able to do this successfully if I FTP the file to my desktop then from my desktop to the Tivo. This is a time consuming process and I wonder if it is possible to FTP directly from one Tivo to the other without having to download the complete file to the desktop first.

Has anyone done this?

If the FTP servers on your TiVo support it, you can use FXP. There are plenty of free/shareware FXP clients, like this one: http://www.inicom.net/pages/en.ffxp-home.php

I only have a Series1 TiVo and that doesn't support FXP.
