First time user :)

I'm trying to "get" a 4hr show using Tystream mode.
It always downloads to about half way then I get an error message something like..

"Error - Tried to write 131424Mb (or blocks, can't remember which) but wrote -1"

..and thats it. I have to Ctrl Alt Del to get out of it.

Help!!!

More information is needed. What is the destination drive's filesystem and does it have enough room for the extraction.

You're using what software to extract (be specific).

Are you extracting in a PC or over ethernet?

What is your TiVo? Software? Model? SA or DTiVo?

Check your disk space on the PC. It sounds like you don't have enough room to transfer the file.

Destination drive is a new, clean, empty 200Gb external HDD connected to PC via USB2
filesystem FAT32.

Using TyTools 9r14

Tivo is a UK S1 Thomson Tivo. Connected to PC via wired ethernet.

Doesn't FAT32 have a 2GB file size limit? That may be your problem.

Genius!

Hadn't even thought of that. FAT32 actually has a 4Gb file size limit.. but I've rechecked the program and it's 9Gig in size.
about half way is 4Gig.

Sorted! Thanks!
