Hello everyone,

Hopefully I'm posting this in the right place, couple questions, I have a Philip DSR704/R17 with current software v 6.2, what I'm trying to do is I want to unable HMO & USB ports, plus I want to install my linksys wireless G adapater, so I can have it network with my pc, where do I find the driver for thisYour help will be greatly appreciated.

I know I'm asking little too much here, I have been reading this tutorial, but according to the webmaster of that tutorial he said, that hack is for old firmware.

Thank you very much for the response, one last question, I have a linksys USB wireless G adapater, will this product work If I plug it in, once I finish changing the HD & enable my USB ports.

I don't know. As far as I know, wireless G support is very problematical. I'm sure it will not work with the stock drivers, but might be supported by Jamie's backported drivers. I suggest searching on this site by the model number of the adapter and seeing if it is supported.

No...wireless G does not work with Tivo....A list of wireless adapters that do can be found at www.tivo.com If you want a totally wireless system you are going to need something like a Linksys wusb11 v.2.6 or v.2.8

Wireless G WILL work however if you use a hardwired ethernet adapter such as the Netgear FA120 connected to a Wireless 802.11g Bridge...basically have to buy two pieces of equipment...
