I have two DVRs and the new HR10-250's advance key on remote acts weird. When watching recorded shows it is supposed to advance to the beginning or end of the show, and for some reason it does not. Apparently, it has nothing to do with the remote (I have tried the remote on the other DVR and works fine). Any ideas? Do I need to replace the box to get this functionality or there is something else that can be done to restore its "Advance" function. Thanks in advance.
Cheers,

30 second skip actually works. And when I am fast forwarding or rewinding a show "Advance" does jump to the next tick mark. It just does not go back and forth to the beginning and end of the show.

It can do only one or the other. If it does the 30 sec skip and skip-to-tick, then it can't skip to the end just because you want it to (unless you get the optional brain-to-serial adapter). If you want to switch back to the original Advance feature (end-start) you won't have 30 sec skip anymore. The code to switch between the two is SPS30S.

Thanks, it works now with the recorded show to swap between beginning and end of the show. However, it does not swap between start/end when watching the 30 minute buffer in the live TV. Is this normal or another code must be activitated for this?
Cheers,
