View Full Version : Help No connection to tivo service.........

I'm new hear and was wondering if i might be able to get some help from someone. I Have a Toshiba sd-h400 with the tivo basic on it. i used the 45 day free trial and now it expired and went back to tivo basic. but now it's stuck with no guide it says that tivo hasn't connected in the last 30 days and it's stuck like that, i have checked the network activity though and it does connect everyday and if you pick a program to record manually it does have the title. but i just can't get the guide to come back and i have that error message stuck on the tivo. can anyone help thanks......:)

Doesn't sound like a hacking problem....did you call TiVo Customer Support?

well i did and they refered me to toshiba and they want me to send the unit back but mine is a ebay modded one and was wondering if there is a way i can fix it without sending it to them.

I guess I would try to C&D Program Data in case mfs got FUBARed and see if that fixes it.

Then I might contact the seller if that doesn't work.

Last, I would try putting a virgin image on the drive and check the results. Then hack it again, one hack at a time.

Ok thanks for the tips, i'm a total newb at this though and was wondering if you can point me in a direction on where to get these programs and how to do this thanks.

Clear & Delete Guide Data (or Clear pgrogram information and To Do List) are on the Restart or Reset System menu on the TiVo. I don't use the model you have, and the specific wording might be a little different.

For a virgin image, try the Image Begging Thread.
