Nightmare DirecTV Install, may switch to DISH

It looks like DISH has a great free deal, however, looking through the various newbie guides and doing searches here it appears that the DISH 811 unit is not covered. Am I correct?

Your best bet would be to bite the bullet and have a local installer pre-install the dish and cables for you. That way you'd only have to deal with hanging around for the DTV installer to deliver the DVR and hook it up for you. Yours is but a single incident in a long list of bad DTV installation stories. DTV needs to realize that their "free" installations are a customer relations nightmare and they should start allowing customers to decline the installation option should they choose to do so.
