Since I switched to DTV 2 years ago, my SA Tivo has been a paperweight. My Dtivo has a turbonet, and my SA Tivo has a tivonet card. Both have been used with TyTools for extraction. I've been doing some reading recently - and noticed some threads about tivo insertion, a concept that I hadn't ever given much thought.
From what I've read - it looks like it is possible to move shows from a S1 Dtivo to S1 SA Tivo. mfs_ftp looks to be one utility that can do it - but all of the threads that I saw are at least 2 years old.
I'm more than willing to do research and experimentation to get things working - but would like to know that I'm searching in the right direction.
What things should I be reading up on?
