Last week I bought an SD-H400 off eBay and successfully managed to hack/upgrade to 120GB, but after installing TivoWebPlus I realized that the features for changing bitrates/resolution so called Resource Editor are not available. Searched all over and can't see to find a definite answer, the only reference is to HackMan's hidden feature called Tivo Resources but that doesn't help.
I don't want to extract or stream my recordings, just want to modify the settings so they will look better on my 55" HDTV, the same way I had it with my old HDR112.

The DVD models use some sort of "DVD compatible" settings, which are different than the typical Tivo bitrates and resolutions. They were also the first units employing the (short-lived) v5.0 software.

The DVD models use some sort of "DVD compatible" settings, which are different than the typical Tivo bitrates and resolutions. The sd-h400 is a dvd player and uses standard series2 resolutions and bitrates. AFAIK, under 7.x, the resolutions and bitrates are somewhere in the BRF, and no one has posted any details about how to alter them. Here's (http://www.dealdatabase.com/forum/showthread.php?t=38538&highlight=brf) a place to start.
