help with Tivoweb Installation

I am using http://www.steveconrad.co.uk/tivo/airnet2.html to help me install the new tivoweb+ 1.9.4

when I get here:

Once this has copied over, return to the bash prompt in your DOS box. Enter the following :

cd /var/hack

To move into the hack directory. Then type :

gzip -d tivoweb-tcl-1.9.4.tar.gz

I get:
gzip:tivoweb-tcl-1.9.4.tar.gz: not in gzip format


what is going on here?

The usual causes are you did not transfer in binary mode, or you have an incompatible version of the gzip utility. Maybe try gunzip?

Part 4 : Starting Tivoweb.

At this point, TivoWeb should be ready to run.

Return to the bash prompt and enter the following :

/var/hack/tivoweb-tcl/tivoweb

After about 20 seconds, you should see the message : Accepting Connections.

that message never comes

what up here?
