Can DTIVO HDVR2 and HD-250 HUGHES Transfer Video?

I have 2 HDVR2 Hughes Units that talk to each other through a USB Network Adapter. I can transfer video from each unit to watch shows in alternate locations. I realize that HD broadcasts cannot be transfered to a non HD Unit but can the Standard Definition recordings be traded between the units like I have now? I absolutely love this feature and cannot live without that capability.

Depends what you mean by transfer. If you mean MRV -- where you can transfer videos from the Tivo menu -- then no. The HR10-250 doesn't run the necessary level of software.

You CAN transfer SD videos from the HDVR2s to the HR10-250 using mfs_ftp.

There's also a mod to mfs_ftp that allows you to transfer using some hacks and Tivo messages, but I haven't tried to implement that myself yet.
