First off, I'm brand new to this and have no experience with Linux, so just point me in the right direction if there is a better place to get help...

I ordered a new hard drive bracket so that I could add a hard drive to my DTivo Hughes Series 2. I downloaded the MFSTool 2.0 and created a bootable CD. I hooked up an old 13 GB hard drive (FAT32) to Primary Master, the 80 GB Tivo drive as Primary Slave, CD-ROM as Secondary Master, and new 40 GB drive as Secondary Slave. I'm booting from the CD and after if runs through it start up stuff, it comes to "[DR-DOS] A:\>". I enter "mount /dev/hda1 /mnt" and it says "Command or filename not recognized". I've been reading and researching for the last few hours and can't find anything. I know it is something simple, but since I'm new to this, I can't seem to put my finger on it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Check out the downloadable CD images at PTVUpgrade (http://www.ptvupgrade.com/products/software/lba48/). Consider the $5.00 cd. Well worth the price.

You've created a DOS bootable CD-ROM instead of a linux CD-ROM. Trying to use linux commands under DOS won't work (as you've found out).

As wolfpack suggested, check out PTVupgrade for downloadable CD images. The $5 one is popular and has LBA48 support. The "universal CD" has bunches of tools already included, although a bit pricey at $20.
