Where to begin...

I have a brand new TiVo Series 2 with v7.2 installed. Where the heck do I begin hacking? I can't find the ftp tutorials, I can't find anything where to start with 7.2.. All the hacks I have looked at said they need a hacked Tivo to be used.. well how can i use them if they dont give me place to start hacking?

You start by pulling the drive and making a backup image. Once you restore to a new drive and the backup-tivo-drive is in the computer (with a linux boot disk) you can change or add files to your liking.

By Series 2 with 7.2 I'll assume you mean a standalone unit, probably a TCD540 machine which requires a PROM replacement to do anything more than drop a bigger drive inside.
