This is what you all have been patiently waiting for.... The 2.5 Philps Dtivo image. These images are brought to you by _Formula. Thanks to his hard work you will soon have two tuners..so next time you see hm thank him for it!
Also I ask each and every one of you to donate 1 dollar to Vadim for this great message board! He needs our help.
Some rules of the ftp...
1. Don't pass it around (If your friends are not on this message board then they should join and get the site from there)
2. The password will be changed daily. (This is so that we do not have lamers sitting on the ftp IDLE filling up slots)
3.These images come with no warantee so if you mess something up with them that is your own fault for wanting to be the first to try it!
4. READ the legal disclaimer upon entering the ftp!
5. and Be patient! (This is only a T1 and is set for 20 users to start with. Later today will add users if downloads are not too slow!)
so here it is.......
site: ftp.flipsoft.net
user: donate
password: dealdatabase
And one more thing. Please be kind to others and only have one ftp instance per person. If I see people with multiple instances you will be kicked and banned and made a mockery of!
Enjoy!
:)

Please note that I have restored the Clean image several times and it has worked perfectly. I have NOT restored the Hacked image YET. I have another box I will be hacking and then I will be using the hacked image to save me some time.
As flipsoft said, you are responsible for anything that goes wrong, not us.

Thanks for all of your efforts. The expense to you should also be shared. Give me your PayPal address and I send you a few tokens of appreciation.

Well I'm into day two in trying to get a DSR6000 image. I have download three DSR6k 2.5 images todate, and afer all the pain attemping to get into the sites, the images were bad.
Ho well thats why it's a hobby. I am very much looking forward to trying the image on Flipsoft's site. Hopefully I will be able to get login to the site, right now it's jamed. If and when I get a copy I will mirror it for dealdatabase user only.
Aviator do you have an ETA on your 2MB mirror? If so let me know I may have better luck getting into your site.

Also everyone try to download one version of the image at a time. This way you will get one image first to try out. I would suggest getting the 2.5 Clean image first!

Thanks to Aviator for the hosting space, I've put my own backed-up 2.5 image at the following location:
http://www.massoh.com/~pa44-180/DSR6K_2.5_Pending_Restart/
This is a backup of a 2.0 system that has just received the 2.5 update and is status "pending restart"
If you load this and power up the Directivo, you should get a "please wait while we install a new version message" and you'll end up with a nice 2.5 system.
Let me know if this works....

PM me and I'll tell you where to send them... BubbaJ, if I had one of those I'd most likely send it to you. Let me know where to get them, and perhaps what it is... Maybe I'll want one too :)
SP7128: You must do the PROM mod BEFORE you restore these images. You may be okay with the Clean image, but you'll still have to restore 2.0 to update the PROM...

Damm. How did I miss this. I even logged in at 3AM last night because I've been waiting for it. I could have sworn I checked in less than 2 hours ago. I just get a blank page when I go to the site. I assume it's overloaded. :(
patience......patience..... ;(

I'll mirror these two images as soon as I get them D/L they will be at
http://www.keeperstale.org/tivo
but at 3.5K thruput itt'll be a while.
Could someone on a fast connect please upload the preboot 2.5 image to:
jamda.org
upload/upload
I will then copy it over to another T1 server for people to access.
thanks,

Sorry for the slowness but the more people that are on it the slower it will be!
We are pushing 50+ people right now! Sorry :)
if you are having 50 users on a T1 you are pushing it quite a bit. Just a suggestion... I would limit the use to 10-15 people. right now even when you get on you can only pull about 1k a sec.
I would rather wait all night to get on then get on a pull 1k a sec.
Just a thought.
If someone would be kind enough to upload to Jamda.org l/p upload upload I could then throw it over on my shell and serve a few more people.
Thanks

zx7r, I just went to your jamda upload site and don't see anything there yet, so I am u/ling the pre-reboot 2.5 image right now. Hope my upload doesn't screw up flipsofts u/l. Or maybe you can compare the two to make sure they are good images (I know, we should make some parity files, I'm lazy).

Did you see that I had to reupload the .r08 and .r05 files. They did not finish the first time. But they are there now. Also it seems that your directories show permission denied.

Thanks Formula, Flipsoft & masso(sp?). I haven't tryed restoring yet, hell I don't even have all the files on the same computer, but I appreciate all of the effort. Flipsoft, thanks so much with your patience. :) What I did was download each file in reverse from flipsofts site, starting at number 8 & downloaded them in order from the first one from Masso's site....since he hosted them as he got them. Somewhere along the line I think I ended up with all of them. :D. I'm not 100% sure, I just left my computer running and downloading when I left work.

Where is a good 2.5 site? All the images I've seen are corrupt or have disappeared.

What's today's username/password for flipsoft's ftp site?
I was able to get everything except for the last .rar file in the "Clean" directory and I don't know the login info anymore.
Thanks to all who have made this possible!!!
