My wife and I are going full time with our RV. does anyone know if we can take the TIVO unit that was hooked up to Directv and use it to TIVO cable channels?

If it's a DirecTivo, then no -- a DirecTivo only works with DirecTV. But then I'm not sure how you'd get cable service in your RV...
