Remote Control Problems!

I recently forced a call on my T-60 to upgrade from 2.0 to 2.5 and when the upgrade completed and the unit was rebooted the remote stopped working!

The remote I am using is from a Sony SA. Also I noticed after the reboot the system quicly flashed somethng like "To restart push power on Unknown" Or somthing like that. The Unknown thing was kinda interesting. its almost like the linux doesn't know it has infared input.

I've tried rebooting several times and I've tried changing the remote codes, with no luck.

Can anyone confirm that a remote for an SA works on a DTiVo with 2.5!

Oh Yeah, I did the prom hack on this unit before I performed the upgrade. I expected the upgrade to revert back to the 2.5 normal prom.

I have the Phillips HDR-112 and DSR6000 systems, and they both can use each others remotes. Even on 2.5 and 2.5.1 software.

The remote codes are different between sony and other DTiVo units. Did you restore from a hughes or philips image?

I didn't restore. I hooked up the phone line and let it perform the upgrade that way. The Remote I have been using successfully is from a Sony SA and it worked OK oh the Sony T-60 running 2.0 but now after the upgrade it doesn't.

I pulled the card during the phone call.

Its almost like the phone upgrade stuck me with a phillps upgrade

I restored the 2.0 image and then made another call. This time with the card in place and after the installation or 2.5 and database update completed, I had the same problem!

No Remote function.

On the first reboot. the Display indicated "Press Unknown to power up receiver"
