How to re enable bash over serial

Gang, I got some minor issue here, every time I close my HyperTerm, I lost the bash shell. I have to reboot the tivo to reenable it. I guess the reason is because the bash shell get killed when I close the terminal, any one knows how to respawn the bash shell without rebooting?

If you exit or logoff it will end. Just disconnect.
