Is there a way to add info to a mpeg? Just like the Tivo has so I can use parental controls and see a description of the movie I'm looking at.

Thanks for your time,
Rob

Not into an MPEG file by itself, no. What are you using to watch the show? It really depends on that device.

I'm using a DTivo RCA DVR40 to watch the movie.

But to clear things up I use HandBrake to get the mpeg from DVD. Then I place the mpeg file in my "Tivoserver Videos" directory so I can view it on any one of my DTivos.

I mainly like the idea of the ratings so I can lock my daughter out of any of the non-suitable movies.

Ah, OK. I think on the box running Tivoserver you can go to the cache folder and edit the XML information for the show. Don't quote me on that, as I've never tried, but I believe Tivoserver builds blank XML files for each video it finds in its directories.

Is there a way generate or a template to follow for this xml file?
Then this xml file is to be named after the *.mpeg file and placed in the same folder?

Thanks again,
Rob
