Successfully added xplusz to my T60 now...

I am ready to purchase a HDTivo but I am a bit concerned about the hacking steps. With the T60 I placed the drives into my pc and did all the changes through Xtreme2.52. There was not connecting directly to the tivo. Is that type of hacking possible with the HD units? Thanks:D

I suggest it's time you do a little reading. Start with the stickies in this forum. Pay particular attention to the thread listing guides. Note those which pertain to the HR10-250. Now you will have your answer - and more.

Things are a bit different with the series 2 DTivos. It actually involves a bit more hands-on hacking than the series 1 DTivos with 2.5Xtreme. Ironically, whenever anyone comes up with an automated script for a series 2 model they tend to get tongue-lashed for it (Sleeper's tivoscripts or the Zipper). Many of us tend to forget that everything was automated with the S1 models (i.e., 2.5Xtreme and SuperZap's xupgrade.iso or KRavEN's Tivolator 3.1) and nobody ever complained.
