Hey, I've been in these forums since 2001 and have probably read most every post in here! What do I have to do to become a senior member? Post more messages like this?

I do have a quick question if anyone knows. I have a Dtivo @ 6.2 with MRV and then a SAS2 used just for MRV (Thanks for all the posts so I could get this going):) The SA receiver loses the name I gave it, but it still works on the network. I can change it back with TivowebPlus, but it goes back again. Any ideas. Thanks! This is the best site out there!!

Perhaps it's contacting TiVo via the phone or the internet?

The standalone units update their guides and certificates everyday. Since you say you have it on your network, it's probably downloading new certificates each day over the 'Net and erasing your homebrew MRV name.

Thanks for the pointers! I do remember reading something about the certificates when I did the Dtivo. That must be it, it is always connected to my network, don't have a phone line, so it definitely isn't that. Thanks again..
