I'm considering hacking my Series 2 SA to MRV with my DTiVo's, but my wife is hooked on TTG and online scheduling. She will kill me if I make her go through any process to do this, so I'm wondering if I turn of encryption on the SA is it going to mess up TTG? (It seems like it would...)

Are there any other 'standard tivo' features that are going to break on a Standalone if I hack it?

(I've only done the DTiVo's...)

Thanks, are there any other side effects or peoblems with MRVing with a DirecTiVo?

Sorry for the questions, I'm considering trading my new lifetime Series 2.5 with my dad's lifetime Series 2. He could care less about hacking it but I would love to be able to integrate mine iwth my directivos...

I was wondering if you ever follow through?

I have several hacked Dtivo. but I am considering getting a SA Tivo just so my wife can use the TTG features.

My question is will my Networked DTivos show up on the Tivo's? can they all share the same network and transfer shows between them?

Looks like you'll have to superpatch the SA Tivo if you want to MRV with your DTivos. See this thread:
