I had an HR10-250 that I did all of the manual hacks to including setting up networking. I gave this box to a family member and now have a 2nd HR10-250. I hacked this one, but the same usb-ethernet connector does not seem to work. Where can I find the proper drivers to activate the USB port? It is not a 2.0 issue, this one is an older model usb connector that used to work just fine.
I can't remember if installed new drivers or used the ones already on the HD-Tivo. Any advice would be aprreciated. Thanks.

I'd start with Jamie's backported drivers (http://www.dealdatabase.com/forum/showthread.php?t=38167) thread. IIRC, the stock drivers have separate modules for different chipsets; he has merged them into one faster set.

Alternatively, if you are manualy insmoding /lib/modules/ax8817x.o in rc.sysinit.author, substitute /lib/modules/pegasus.o should get it working with the original (slow) drivers.

As has been mentioned countless times, having a serial cable can help you avoid pulling the drive if something doesn't work properly.
