Help with mfs_ftp insertions

I'm having some trouble inserting .tmf files with mfs_ftp.

I have a SA series 2 running software v7.2
I'm running mfs-ftp 1.2.9 and installed the S2 support files

With smart ftp, I have no trouble extracting programs, but

When trying to insert(by dragging tmf file on PC to tmf directory, the connection is closed by server, and mfs_ftp log shows the following



150 Opening Binary mode data connection for {{program info...
bgerror invoked with error
" can't read "TmkEnvent::EVT_DATA_CHANGED": no such variable "
re-initializing mfs_ftp
close the current ftp connection and simply open another


have the same problem regardless of the file type i try to extract and insert

The event update calls which MFS_FTP uses no longer work under system 6.2 nor v7.x.

You need to do a forum search as Roger Dylan suggests, look for how to manually edit out the event update calls.

Couldn't find much in the forums. But following your lead, I commented out 2 lines in mfs_ftp.tcl referring to "EVT_DATA_CHANGED", and all is well. Specifically lines 60 and 985 for those who may have the same problem.

How did you commented out 2 lines in mfs_ftp.tcl referring to "EVT_DATA_CHANGED. I am having the same problem as you did.

Open up mfs_ftp.tcl in an editor (vi, joe) and put a # sign before the lines you want to comment out. That should prevent them from executing...
