Has anybody heard of the XBMC being ported to the Xbox 360?

Don't believe the 360 has even been hacked yet.

Don't believe the 360 has even been hacked yet.

Considering the $300-$400 price tag and the completely different underlying platform, I can't say I'm surprised.

Even if XBMC was available for the 360, I wouldn't chance screwing mine up when I can run it on my plain XBOX, even if the 360 version supported HD streams. I'm still waiting on an answer in another thread about the possibility of using a 'decompression' proxy server to get HD streams to XBMC.

I, for one, am eagerly anticipating an XBMC port to the 360. The future is HD. All my recordings (or at least the vast majority) are in HD. I'd love to be able to stream HD from my HTPC to my other HDTVs located around the house. Given that the old Xbox is almost there -- it can play HD DIVX -- I think this is just a matter of time.

The 360 can play divx hd if you use transcode 360.
